ANNA HERRINGTON I grew up in the Midwest, around the steel mill industry. My pops was a spark-tester at a steel mill and could tell you anything about metal that you could ever want to know. He did a lot of soldering of my grandmothers jewelry, so I, tinkering with my own jewels, would hang out in the garage and mimic his work. I would take vintage brooches apart, put them on different pieces, and then re-do them. Then I would do it all over again so that I had many different options of jewelry to wear. (I was about fourteen years old) Now I am based out of Los Angeles. Since I am a wardrobe stylist, I have access to some of the most beautiful clothes, jewelry, and shoes in the world! I have seen such amazing designs and once again I have been inspired to make unique jewelry. I style a lot of videos for musicians, so I really like to make chains that will be super dope on stage, or for a photo shoot. All of my pieces are one-of-a-kind. I rummage around for unique, interesting pieces that catch my eye. I deconstruct them, match them up with other pieces and then create a refurbished piece of art. This hobby of four years has become a passion and therapy for me. What started as a consolidating project of cleaning out my own collected pieces over the years, has gradually turned into my designing pieces for friends requesting their own creations. I derive great pleasure in creating custom pieces of jewelry that have special meaning. For more information email us at [email protected] ![]() alangastelum.com |
